My friend, Nancy Goldie, came to our house and did a photo shoot of our girls. She did an amazing job! I hope you enjoy them as much as we do.

Karate Kids
We enjoyed a relaxing and lazy Sunday. We laid in bed with the girls and watched our church service online live, our new tradition since I started bed rest.
Martin was dressing the girls this morning and I heard a "high-ya." After he put on their pants it dawned on him that they looked like Karate kids. The girls just stared at him while he made karate chops and noises with their arms. I just laughed at all three of them.

Blue Eyes
The girls will be 2 weeks old tomorrow and they are so much more alert these days. They are opening their eyes and trying to focus. It looks like they will both have blue eyes...but who knows.

Work Week
Martin went back to work last week, so I did a photo shoot in the headbands that he bought the girls. I e-mailed him pictures all week so he would not feel like he missed too much.

Nice to meet ya!
Home again home again jigidee jig
Well, after four full days at the Hospital we've been cleared for take off. And after four days on a 4 inch matress in a 400 sq ft room i am sure glad we made it out alive. As of today we have been home for over 24 hours and lets just say we are super excited to be home and really excited to start the next phase of our life.

Window Watching....
Hypothetically speaking, if we started feeding at 7:00 and everything went perfectly we would/should be done by 7:45, change their diaper, re-swaddle them and walk them back down to the nursery, usually by 8:00 we're done. Which means we have 2 hours of sleep if everything went perfectly. So, I think it was Saturday night. Obviously, we were on very little sleep and everything gets a little blurry, but after each feeding we send our sweet little girls to the nursery (as long as there isn't any grandparents around of course) so we can get some sleep before the next feeding. After I dropped them off in the nursery, I walked back into the room to make sure momma is ok and to try to catch some z's. Well for some reason, I went to check on them in the nursery and this is what I found.... All of the nurses loved our little girls. We would usually walk by just to check on them and see random people starring at them through the window or the nursers just playing with them. I guess their not use to seeing twin girls with bows the size of their heads in Cumming, Georgia. So obviously they've never met a Leech girl. They were a HUGE hit! Which brought us much comfort knowing that our girls were well taken care of while we slept.
Happy Love Day
Well it could have been an accident (or on purpose) but Bebe (Martin's momma) left her red sweater at the hospital on Saturday. And while Traci was in the shower, Nammy (Traci's mom, kind of like Nita and kind of like the cookies) and I decided to have another photo shoot! Nammy is uber creative and decided to use Bebe's red sweater and mold it into a heart and place the girls right smack dab in the middle of it and now we have a Valetines Day card for both of our families. We hope you enjoy!!

Ready, Set, TWINS
Date Night
We decided to have one last blast before the girls arrived, so Martin and I went to our favorite Italian restuarant and split a calzone and salad. After dinner we went to Bello for coffee and dessert.
Off to the Hospital...
It snowed the night before the day of our scheduled c-section...which added to the anxiety of delivery day. We arrived 2 hours prior to surgery (12 noon) and the adventure began.
Click on the photo below to follow the next three days.
What an overwhelming blessing this journey has been!

Nursery
With a lot of help from family and a TON of help from my mom, we have finally finished the nursery! I love it.
My mom made the bedding and the drapes!
These are my favorite part!

Growing Girls!
We went to the perinatal specialists for the last time today. We have gone twice a month since we found out we were having twins. Martin and I love the nurses and doctors there (even though they have admitted me to the hospital a few times)
Their technology is amazing. There is a flat screen TV mounted on the wall so that we can see everything that is going on in the ultrasound. They give you tons of pictures and spend time measuring all of the babies bones, their breathing, their blood flow and the movement of their diaphragm. They study everything from their lips to their umbilical cord. So you get to watch the babies move for at least 30 minutes to an hour. At today's appointment the doctor told us that both girls have completely swapped positions. This is not expected at this point because there is hardly any room for them to move in my belly, but some how they figured it out. Baby A used to be on my left and now she is on my right. We have been talking to baby A and calling her Hadley for months..and now we are not sure if Hadley is still Baby A? Oh well, I guess that is how it goes when you have twins. I included the last set of ultra sound pictures of the girls. The next pictures we will post will be when they are born! Next week!

Baby A- Hadley 5lbs 12oz...and a little bit of hair:)
Hadley would not show us her face, so we did not get a 3D photo of her.
Baby B- Harper 5 lbs 15oz- A TON of hair..watch out McKenzie we may be able to compete.
We could see her open and close her eyes. She kept sticking out her tongue. My favorite part was her chunky cheeks and tiny lips.
Her foot is in the top right corner. Her head is in the top left corner and her arms are by her side. The squiggly line in front of her left eye is the umbilical cord.
Look at my tongue!! Martin thinks this picture is freaky looking because her right eye is open and the left side of her face is hidden because of fluid in the photo, but I posted it anyways because I think the tongue is great.
