Bath Time Bunnies

The girls are starting to like their bath. They just stare at me while I pour warm water on them in their little tub.  They still scream when I wash their hair.  I try to tell them that they should love to get their hair washed, it's like a salon.  As soon as you wrap them in a towel they are happy babies.

I love these bunny head towels...I love anything with bunnies.

Little Bunnies

In honor of the start of Spring I dressed the girls in these bunny outfits.  These little bunnies remind me of the marshmellow treats, Peeps.
I love both of these little bunnies.

5 Hours!

We made a huge milestone.  The girls slept for a 5 hour stretch last night. Martin fed them at 11:30pm and they slept until 4:30am.

I love their new Hanna Andersson PJ's that Martin's Aunt Laurie gave us.

Nammy and Grandbobby's House

Martin was out of town this weekend so I took the girls to my parents house to spend the weekend with Nammy and Grandbobby.  Of course they were a ton of help...it was a vacation for me.  We took the girls to Atlanta Country Cub for lunch.  Mom and I strolled the girls around the Avenue and shopped.  I had home cooked meals and took long naps.

McKenzie came over to play. Nammy bought all of the girls matching PJ's.  I love this picture!  McKenzie's facial expression is priceless.I am sure we will pull this photo out in the future when the girls are older.

Look at those frog legs! Some are longer than others....

Taking the girls photo took a group effort!

My girls were hungry and crying.  McKenzie wanted to help calm her little cousin.

Justin ran from side to side giving the girls sips of the bottle, and would pull it out right before the photo was snapped.

And Teri and I took a thousand pictures in hopes to get one good one!

1 Month Old

Our girls are 1 month old!
They are both growing and gaining weight.  They are still wearing preemie clothes and preemie diapers. After 4 weeks we finally have a schedule..for now. They are beginning to focus on faces.  We are always waiting for a smile..I think Nammy may have won a smile from Harper today.

We are starting a tradition of posing the girls on a calendar each month to chart their growth.  We will see how long they will both fit on the same calendar.

Tummy Time

At our 2 week appointment the pediatrician told us we need to start doing Tummy Time with the girls to help strengthen their neck.  So Martin has taken it upon himself to work on Tummy Time every evening when he gets home.  Harper has great neck strength, but let's just say she does not like to be on her tummy very long.

Here is what tummy time is suppose to look like...

Harper is being the model students and lifting her head.  (I told you Harper was really good)  She has mastered this because this is her move when she is looking for food.  We call her our little bird.  She always has her neck stretched out and her mouth open looking for food.

But this is what really happens during Tummy Time...Harper sucks on her sister's head looking for food.

And here is how tummy time ends..Harper manages to turn herself over and Hadley falls asleep.

Park and Pediatrition

I got out of the house TWICE with the girls yesterday! This is a big deal seeing that I have been home from the hospital for about 3 weeks and prior to that, I was on bed rest for 6 weeks.  Getting out of the house is like a kindergarten field trip every time.  Full of excitement!

We took the girls in for their 2 week check-up yesterday.  They both weigh 6lbs 4oz!  Harper has caught up.  When they came home from the hospital, Harper weighed 5lbs and Hadley weighed 5lbs 5oz. So they have both gained about a pound. Preemie clothes and diapers still fit the best but they can wear some newborn sizes. We have a lot of cute 0-3 month outfits waiting in the closet:)

Ashley and the girls came over yesterday afternoon.  We took all of the kids to the park in the neighborhood.  It was great practice for me, to see if I could get the girls in the car seat, the car seats in the car, the car seats in the stroller and then put the car seats back in the car on my own.  It was a lot easier knowing that I had a professional and experienced mom with me in case something went wrong. We had a great time. It was wonderful to be outside in the beautiful weather.
