11 Months Old

They girls are just a few weeks away from being a year old.  UNBELIEVABLE!!!

This totally depicts your personality.  Hadley is always on the go....all the time.  Harper will sit and watch her sister before she takes off after her. You like to "chase" each other.

Hadley and Harper,

You two girls make it really hard for be to get things done, not because you are mischievous or getting into things, but because you are so sweet and so much fun to play with. I don't want to do anything else.  Your dad and I must say at least 5 times a day, "I can't believe these 2 girls are ours!" You are both beautiful and happy all day.  You watch and listen to everything going on around you.  You both dance and clap your hands.  You love to play Patty Cake with me.  You are staring to understand some of the things we tell you.  Like "where is your paci?" you will click your tongue like you do when you suck on your paci.  You can give kisses when we ask you to.  You eat everything we give you (and a lot of little things that we do not give you)  I don't even know where you find some of them.  Harper you pick up each piece of food between your finger and thumb.  Hadley, you scoop your food as fast as you can and shovel it into your mouth.  I can't keep enough food on your tray!  If you see that I am cutting food up and it is not on your plate, you start to whine because you want it.  You like spaghetti and pasta.  We have also been REALLY enjoying blueberries these days. I think you are a pound apart in weight.  Maybe Harper-18 lbs and Hadley- 19lbs.  I am just guessing.  We will know for sure at your next checkup, in a few weeks.
Neither of you can stand by yourself, but you have mastered the pulling up and getting back down.  You even go up and down multiple times to pick up toys off the floor. Your favorite thing to do is unload and reload any type of container, basket or bag. (especially the wipes container) You throw everything out as fast as you can, one by one. You now both have 4 top teeth!!!
I love you girls both so so so much!

Love, Mom

1st Christmas

Last year I was put on bedrest 2 days after Christmas and I remember thinking about what it would be like to have 2- 10 month old little crawlers on Christmas morning.  That day came this year, and it was 10x more crazy then I had imgained laying flat in my bed last year.  It was a blast but it was nothing short of crazy!

We spent some time at Martin's parents' house on Christmas Eve and then spent the night at my parents house.  Teri, Justin and Kenzie were also apart of the slumber party. After we put the kids to bed, we stayed up and put toys together and had some cocktails.
The boys were really into this part of the evening.

This is what Santa left for the little ones Christmas Morning.

This was their reaction! My girls just stared and took it all in.

Santa brought each of them a new "ride." The girls LOVE to ride these around the house.

This what our Christmas morning breakfast looks like this year.
Uncle J got an Ipad for Christmas.  All the girls loved the Mickey Mouse movies that were downloaded by Santa.
After we ate breakfast, we went to my Martin's parents house to have lunch and open more presents.  After lunch we got in the car and drove to my Aunts house near Savannah, Ga.  This was our first road trip.  If it was not for Namy...I would have NEVER made it.  My girls are great sleepers...but only in a crib.  Not in a car seat:).
We were thankful for the family that surrounded us these few days.

First Haircut

We took the girls to get their hair cut yesterday. You may wonder why we would take babies who are only 10 months old to get their hair cut, so I included this photo to prove my point.
We took them to "Sweet and Sassy Spa" Martin thought it was humorous that I was taking them to a spa. But it just a girly kids place and it happened to be discount Tuesday! They both did wonderful! Harper may have even enjoyed it.

Hadley took one look at the lady and immediately stole her hot pink comb.
Our first spa experience...rrelaxing with a cold beverage.

Hadley was unsure about letting someone new touch her head.  She did fine until we made her look down.

Harper's turn!
This is when she found herself in the mirror!
There was a little girl in the chair next to her.  She thought the little girl was hilarious! She kept waving and laughing at her.
